More on knitting!

From the last post, here is a photo of Project #3:

That was so much fun, I made another.
Project #4: Rainbow shawl
This one was a gift for a very good friend.

I have kids for 3 more shawls and 2 more afghans, so look for more posts!

KNITTING!

Several months ago, my daughter informed me that I am going to be a grandma! My first grandbaby! 30-35 years ago, I used to knit up a storm! Sweaters for the children, mom, dad... But I hadn't knit anything for that many years. Did I even remember how? Because now, I must start knitting something for that baby!

I ordered a kit for my first project.

Project #1. Baby blanket for my granddaughter. I picked an easy pattern that looked like fun. And here is the result:

This was so much fun, I ordered more kits!

Project #2: Afghan
I next made this cute throw in teal and gray. No photo, because my daughter wants to be surprised and it's in transit. After she sees it, I'll post a photo.

Project #3. Calming desert shawl. I found this adorable shawl pattern and bought several of the special huge balls of yarn to make them with.

Love your life!

So many ways to say this..
"Keep what is serving you; eliminate what does not serve your higher good."-Sifu John
"Count your blessings."-the holy bible
"Make a gratitude list every day."-Alcoholics Anonymous
"You will attract what you project."-The Secret
"In the USA, we are guaranteed life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.-Paraphrased from the Constitution of the United States

Clearly, the message is all around us. No one is responsible for our happiness except ourselves.  Looking back at my life so far, I realize that, whenever I was unhappy, I had to take the steps myself to change my life. And what held me back? Mostly fear. However, with every new step, letting go of my fear becomes easier and easier, especially when the results are positive. Sometimes not, offering an opportunity to learn.

I  now find myself in the enviable position of loving my life! Woo hoo!
